How to Reset the Procedures for the Brother TN650 Laser Toner Cartridge

ave you ever been stuck in the middle of a large print job when the "Toner Low" warning light keeps on burning and does not allow you to print? It is not always practical to find a nearby store that is open to take a new one or wait for a new shipment to arrive from an online order.

We recently received a request from one of our customers stating that they needed a TN-650 cartridge to be delivered the same day. He also told us that the usual reset instruction he found online would not work with his printer because the Brother models HL-5340D and HL-5370DW do not have a keypad.

We shared with him another way to reset his toner counter that helped him complete his print job. And today we will share with you these reset instructions if you have the Brother HL-5340D or HL-5370DW.

Brother HL-5340D and HL-5370DW Toner Reset Instructions

  1. Turn off the printer and open the front cover.
  2. Press and hold Go-button.
  3. Turn on the machine while holding down the Go-button.
  4. When all three LEDs are lit, release the Go-button.
  5. Double-click the Go-Button button, and the three LEDs should be lit again.
  6.  Press the Go-Button button six times.
  7. Close the front cover and the toner counter must be reset.
  8. It is true that when I learned these instructions for the first time, they reminded me of Super Nintendo joystick movements. However, they work and will save you money in the long run or perhaps get out of a print jam.
  9. We hope that the information in this article will be helpful for you in reducing and saving on toner cartridges.

Brother production lines follow rigorous processes to carefully select quality recyclable gears and carefully handle all selected parts to ensure high quality performance after refurbishing the cartridge. All remanufactured toner cartridges are tested to ensure the highest level of quality.

It's crazy, your cartridge should not cost more than your printer.

However, refilling Brother cartridges for your Brother printer can be very expensive. You'll find online stores that offer a full line of compatible, remanufactured ink cartridges and toner cartridges that meet the highest standards set by Brother. When used, compatible or remanufactured cartridges and toners produce the same text and photo prints of exceptional quality as the original Brother ink cartridges.
